【2025 Annual Review】Walking the Sound Journey Together with Museek: 49 Events, Countless Moments of Resonance
In 2025, for Museek, it was a year full of exploration and resonance.
Looking back on this year, we organized a total of 49 distinctive events, ranging from monthly regular guided tours, to workshops that deeply explore one’s own sound, and to music concerts filled with exotic flavors. We thank every friend who participated, allowing these rare and niche instruments to no longer remain obscure, but to become bridges that connect us all.

1. Monthly Gathering: Rare Instruments Guided Tour
Throughout 2025, we proudly hosted 11 sessions of our signature event — “Museek World Instruments Guided Tour”.
This activity is not only the hallmark of Museek, but also serves as the very first encounter for many participants with ethnic instruments from around the world and locally designed instruments. From the Voohoo Indian double flute to the Panlab handpan, and a wide variety of percussion instruments, we led everyone across cultural and geographical boundaries to touch with their own hands and listen with their own ears to these soulful sounds brimming with natural beauty.
2. Reclaiming Your Voice: Exploring Voice, Body, Mind, and Spirit
In addition to musical instruments, we also focus on the "human" voice itself. In 2025, we collaborated with voice coach Guo Liwen to organize 8 sessions of the Reclaiming Your Voice workshop series, including voice utilization courses and Level II advanced training.
We also launched Kijo’s Connecting with Nature through Sound: Shamanic Workshop Series and Vicky Fung’s Loneliness Vibes, among other events. These activities guide participants to heal body and mind through sound, and to explore inner peace.

3. The Charm of Rhythm: From Middle Eastern Drums to African Shakers
The rhythms of percussion can easily awaken people’s passion.
This year, Fung collaborated with us to organize 6 sessions of the Asalato DIY African Shaker workshops, allowing participants to handcraft and learn this fun instrument. At the same time, Dickson led 5 sessions of Middle Eastern drum (Darbuka) and Middle Eastern music-related activities. In addition, John Lee’s frame drum and Kawa steel tongue drum beginner classes were also held, enabling music lovers of different levels to find a rhythm that suits them.

4. Cross-Border Exchange: Concerts and Improvisational Performances
The essence of music lies in connection and exchange. In 2025, we curated several wonderful concerts, including One Thousand and One Nights Middle Eastern Music Concert, John Lee Yiu Shing’s Unconditional Love Songs piano solo recital, and Chor's "Listen to Chor" handpan performance sharing session.
We also organized two events inviting musicians from outside Hong Kong to come and share their music with us, including Hiroki Sensei from Japan, as well as the Bokapl and Grace from Taiwan.
In addition, we held Open Mic sessions and improvisational ensemble workshops, encouraging everyone to bravely express themselves and enjoy the fun of “Don’t be afraid to Jam.”
